Nowadays baldness affects many people, regardless of sex. New hair treatments on a daily basis promise, on certain occasions, a total regeneration of hair as if it were a magic trick. So, what treatments are available? And are they really effective?
It is not known exactly that hair treatments are 100% effective. What is true is that certain active ingredients, vitamins and nutrients, along with a balanced diet and good hair care habits can greatly solve the problem and avoid a total irreversible hair loss or baldness.
Hair treatments should always be both internal and external. First, we must consider a healthy diet to provide us with the necessary nutrients and vitamins to prevent subsequent hair loss or premature baldness. Nutritional supplements can be a successful treatment in this case.
In addition, this diet can and should be combined with proper hair health habits (such as daily brushing or regular haircuts) that help clean the root.
There are also products and hair cosmetics whose active ingredients have been clinically proven (as Redensyl, SawPalmetto or Minoxidil), which favor the strengthening of the root, stimulation of hair follicles or increased density.
Finally, when baldness is at an advanced stage, hair transplants or grafts are optionally available; but we recommend that before coming to surgery you can try effective hair treatments as Redenhair, which slows down the hair loss and reactivates the hair fibers before it is too late.
What is male pattern baldness?
Male pattern baldness is hair loss in men. It normally follows a typical pattern of thinning hair and subsequent hair loss from the front to the back (forming an "M"), and also bald areas on the crown. It is usually caused by hormones or genetic predisposition.
In male pattern baldness, the hair follicles are reduced increasingly, and the affected follicles stop producing hair and permanently stopping the normal cycle of hair growth.
To prevent this from happening, in the first place you have to go to the dermatologist for a correct diagnosis (since there are different types of baldness or alopecia) and thus choose the most suitable hair treatment.
Why hair falls out?
Hair loss have different causes in both women and men and these causes can affect in one way or another depending on the characteristics of each person. The question of why hair falls out cannot be conclusive resolved but there are some common known causes that can lead to a hair loss: the lack of some nutrients necessary for hair growth (such as iron, vitamin E, etc.), stress or traumatic situations, genetic predisposition, anxiety, poor diet or the usage of aggressive hair products.
In the case of hair loss in women it may also be related to postpartum, menopause or hormonal disorder.
What is temporary baldness?
Temporary baldness is a special kind of alopecia which is usually caused by stress, nervousness, anxiety or depression.
Temporary baldness can be nerve related alopecia or alopecia areata, both reversible and with a specific duration, although sometimes it tends to reappear.
The main difference between these two types of alopecia is that alopecia areata usually has a genetic factor and appears in the form of round patches that if it is not treated, it may spread and end in total baldness. However, in the nerve baldness, hair loss is spread more diffusely for a few days (when the stress situation is stronger) and then return to regenerate and grow. In this case, it is always temporary and the hair grows back when the cause that has provoked baldness disappears.
It is thought that the best treatment for this temporary baldness is psychotherapy but after medical diagnosis, it is also desirable to use scalp reactivating alternative treatments and vitamin supplements to recover natural shine and density that the hair had before the fall.
What is hereditary-pattern baldness?
Hereditary-pattern baldness is the most common among men with alopecia. Genetic predisposition along with levels of hormones and aging hair are the main causes of hair loss in a very high percentage mostly in men. Hereditary baldness is, in 90% of cases, a type of androgenic alopecia.
The average person's head has up to 150,000 hairs approximately (the entire adult body has 5 million). And generally, a hair’s life is about 5 years until it dies and grows at an average rate of about 1/2 inch per month. Each hair grows from its hair follicle, which is regulated by male sex hormones, called androgens. In the male pattern baldness (or androgenic alopecia), between 50 and 100 hairs are normally lost per day and this fall is related to hormonal disorder (specifically for the androgens) which unbalances the normal cycle of hair growth, shortening and weakening it more and more until finally the hair follicle dies and stops producing hair.
How I can treat male or female pattern baldness with Redenhair?
When there is a receding hairline, first you must go to a medical appointment for making a diagnosis and after this, the most appropriate treatment is to choose a treatment for baldness with hair care products, such as Redenhair. Our range of products should be used for a treatment in the early stage of alopecia, since it is also used as a preventive measure so that it no further progress.
When hair loss has reached a very advanced stage and baldness is almost total, there are no effective treatments and the only solution would be surgery and hair transplant.
We offer four products that work synergistically on male and female baldness: regenerative shampoo, which contributes to a higher hair’s density and a strengthening of the scalp; the pro-regenerative, which is a hair conditioner that fights the fall by acting directly on the hair follicle; the hair regenerator serum forte made up by Redensyl that reactivates the hair fiber and thus stimulates the production of new hair; and finally, the nutrition supplement with vitamins and Saw Palmetto, which provides nutrients for balance and proper functioningof the hair cycle.
